Guiding Teens (www.guidingteens.in) is a non-profit community providing unbiased career and college counselling guidance to Indian parents and their teenagers. We are based in India.

 

2. What Information We Collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, such as when you:

• Join our WhatsApp community

• Register for a session or workshop

• Sign up for our newsletter

• Send us an email or fill out a contact form

• Fill out our occasional "Getting to Know You" surveys

We do not collect sensitive personal data.

 

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you share solely to:

• Tailor our offerings to better suit the needs of the community

• Respond to your queries

• Send you information about sessions, workshops, or resources you have specifically registered for

• Send you our newsletter — but only if you have explicitly opted in

We may in the future send you relevant updates or content by email. If and when we do, we will give you a clear and easy way to opt out.

 

4. What We Will Never Do

We want to be unambiguous about this:

• We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party — ever.

• We will never share your information with advertisers or commercial partners.

• We will never automatically sign you up for any mailing list. All newsletter and email subscriptions are opt-in only, with your explicit consent.

• We will never use your information for purposes beyond what is described in this policy without asking you first.

 

5. Third-Party Services

Our website is hosted on Wix. We use standard tools such as WhatsApp, Zoom, and YouTube to host our community and sessions. These platforms have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. We do not control how these platforms handle data.

We do not run advertising on our platform and do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics that profile you for marketing purposes.

 

6. Data Storage and Security

Any personal information you share with us is stored securely and accessed only by Guiding Teens team members. We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide the services you have requested.

 

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you

• Ask us to correct or delete your information

• Unsubscribe from any communications at any time
